AC Shadows Reveals Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Thanksgiving
In a surprising partnership that breaks conventional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Revealed
According to the official announcement, "A mysterious confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of prohibited practices and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The plot features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret cult.
The adventure concentrates on "bizarre trials and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Transformations
The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Additional Material
Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an unique katana together with multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-based attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe
- Special implements
- Survey Corps vehicle
Newest Free Story Update
This update also introduces the game's newest complimentary story episode, titled "The Enigma." This humorous mission partners Naoe and Yasuke as they trade distinctive techniques: Naoe reveals a performative interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-lethal stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Mystery" also features a fresh environmental puzzle that may finally explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
